  Thai Esan is one of the best Thai restaurants in San Antonio! The owner tries hard to make it as authentic as possible. The fact that they deliver via Favor has been a lifesaver the last few months when our family has been busy and hasn't had much time to cook.
  
  Whenever we do dine in, the experience is always fantastic and the wait staff is incredibly friendly! The Tiger Cry plate is my favorite, and my wife says the Pad Thai is the best she's ever had. I also ordered their wings one time and was very pleasantly surprised!

  Looking for something new to try for lunch that was close to work I came across Thai Esan & Noodle House and I'm glad I did. Upon arrival I was greeted and seated right away by the friendly server who promptly brought me a menu and took my drink order.
  As I looked around the décor of the restaurant is definitely Asian inspired but with a modern touch. Not overdone but clean and welcoming.
  After a quick scan of the lunch specials I decided to go with one of my favorites to see if the kitchen was up to the task. When my server returned I asked for the chicken pad woon sen with steamed rice.  
  The server placed the order and returned with a small salad w/peanut dressing and miso soup. I asked if this was at an extra charge and she replied that it came with the meal......bonus!
  The order came out within ten minutes and it looked and smelled great. I added a dash of soy sauce and chili paste then took my first bite and was very satisfied. I could taste the slight char from the wok on the veggies and chicken while the glass noodles brought the dish together.
  The steamed rice was soft, fluffy, sticky and a good compliment to the main course.
  Overall, the ingredients were fresh, the food was well prepared, the atmosphere was inviting and the price point was good so what's not to like. I'll definitely be back to try the pad thai then work my way through the rest of the menu.

  Dined at lunch with a group of 7. Service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant and restrooms are clean.
  
  I got the drunken noodles and an order of spring rolls. I wasn't a fan of my entree - the noddles were gelatinous and difficult to eat but the chicken, veggies, and sauce in it were delicious. I would have preferred it served over steamed rice. The spring rolls were hot and crispy & plenty to share.
  Each entree also came with a soup and small spring mix salad to share which were both tasty too.
  
  Overall, prices were a little higher than other Thai places and folks in my group all thought the Pad Thai was too wet. I don't think I'll be back, but you might like it!

  My husband and I took a lunch date here today-- but I think it would be a better location for a work group of 3 or more. A table for one or two is very small and cramped-- but the larger party tables seemed like they would be more comfortable. It was quite busy for lunch and the environment was  more formal than I expected. The dining room and overall feel is going for upscale-ish-- but we felt kind of rushed to get through our meal and were served cans for our soft drinks and told they should be cold enough. Shortly we had to ask for glasses. Before my husband even arrived, another individual was sat at the table next to me (less than 18 inches away-- not exaggerating) and the staff member who sat them asked to take the second menu on my table to give the newcomer. No biggie-- but I was a bit surprised after walking into what felt like a more upscale restaurant than most Asian venues in the area. (I think there's some truth to the previous review stating that they make more time for bigger parties. However-- we did notice a few small parties that seemed to be regulars and they were warmly greeted and seemed to get better service.) The seafood rangoons were bad-- I don't recommend them at all. The pad Thai was mediocre, but the Mongolian beef was very good. The soup and salad they provide with lunch we're good enough. The whole restaurant, including woman's restroom was very clean and pleasant.
  
  In summary-- I would try again with a bigger group or if they give us a four top table. I won't order the pad Thai or rangoons again though. The lunch menu had many options for fair prices.

  Stopped by here for a late lunch after sight seeing.
  
  The place is really nice inside.  Because the insides appeared to be "higher end" I was expecting the food to be "Westernized" but I was happily surprised when it wasn't.
  
  I ordered the Tiger Cry, which is grilled seasoned beef served with a dipping sauce and sticky rice.  The beef is served on one of those sizzling fajita plates so it was a nice presentation.  The beef was really good and went well with the sauce. The sauce looked spicy but it wasn't at all. I prefer spicy so I was a little disappointed with that. Looking back, I probably could've asked for spicier but wasn't thinking about it at the time.  
  
  Everyone loved their meals and were satisfied. The owner and her staff were really nice and came over several times to talk to us when she realized we understood Thai.
  
  Overall great experience. Prices were good for the portions you get there.
